Historie Lab-Grown / Syntetických diamantů
Synthetic diamonds, often called laboratory-created diamonds or Lab-Gown diamonds are no novelty. People have been able to produce diamonds since 1953, when the first diamonds were synthesized in Sweden. However, Dr. Tracy Hall and his team of researchers in their development for General Electric.

Dr. Tracy Hall was an American scientist born on 20.10. 1919, which in 1954 in the laboratories of General Electric was the first to successfully synthesize the diamond of carbon at high pressure and temperature. He used iron as a catalyst to release links in graphite. Due to their physical properties, diamonds have a spectrum of industrial use. Hall came from Utah, graduated from the University of Utah, and later worked at Brigham Young University, where he founded a diamond company. His work made it possible to industrial production of synthetic diamonds, which today reaches more than 100 tons per year. H. Tracy Hall died on July 25, 2008.

In recent years, there has been a significant reduction in production costs and also increased the quality of synthetic diamonds. Therefore, today it is necessary to have the certainty of the origin of the diamonds that you come into contact with, recognizing synthetic diamonds from natural is not only a look. However, it is not complicated and there are many methods of reliable detection of laboratory diamonds.
