Parcel paper - psaníčka či obálky na diamanty

Parcers papers- it is not easy to translate this typical expression for classic envelopes to store diamonds

In the diamond store, free diamonds are usually stored in diamond papers, also called parcel papers. These envelopes are marked on the front with detailed information about diamonds inside - size, weight, price and so on. Diamond paper can contain one large stone or several small ones. Such a package is referred to as a plot in business terminology.

Diamond envelopes usually consist of two or three layers of paper, folded together. The innermost layer is a thin, translucent insert called a flaut. The color of the flaout affects the apparent color of the diamonds that holds in the paper.

After repeated folding and decomposition, damage may occur in some places and the content could fall out. It is important to replace the papers as soon as the slightest signs of wear appear. Quality diamond parcel papers in combination with the right procedures will help maximize the life of papers and ensure the safety of your diamonds.

It is important to be able to handle diamond papers skillfully. The following instructions and illustrations show the correct procedure for distribution and composition of these papers.

Diamond paper decomposition:

  1. Hold the paper in both hands and raise the upper fold with your thumb.

  2. Pull the lower fold down and carefully open one of the side parts. In a plot of small stones, be careful not to stack some on the wrong side of the fold.

  3. Put the paper slightly aside from each other towards the so far closed side fold. Insert your hand into the open fold and open the pocket slightly. As you balance the paper, open the fold on the other side.

  4. Open the lower fold towards you to reveal the diamonds. Be careful not to spill stones.

Folding diamond paper:

  1. Place the stone or stones in the middle of the second fold from below.

  2. Fold down the bottom fold up in this groove.

  3. Fold the side part to the center, taking care not to catch any stones on the wrong side of the fold.

  4. Fold the bottom up and top down.

  5. Shake the paper lightly to make sure the diamonds are still inside.

Proper handling of diamond papers requires a certain skill that comes with practice. However, it is important for safe storage and handling of diamonds.
